Meta Ads and GA4 stopped receiving Add to Cart and Begin Checkout events after a Shopify theme update modified the store's ecommerce functionality. As a result, critical funnel events were no longer recorded, leading to incomplete conversion tracking, inaccurate funnel reports, and reduced visibility into customer behavior. Without these optimization signals, advertising platforms had less data to measure performance and optimize campaigns effectively.
Reconfigured the Meta Ads and GA4 event tracking to support the new Shopify theme by updating the tracking implementation, rebuilding broken event triggers, and validating all ecommerce events. This restored Add to Cart and Begin Checkout tracking across the entire conversion funnel, ensuring accurate reporting and reliable optimization signals.
